Capstone Speech Therapy is a therapist owned, full-service practice providing speech and language therapy to children of all ages. Our services include speech and language screenings, consultations, evaluations, and therapy.
We provide services in our office location in Brookhaven, as well as in homes, daycares, and schools in select nearby locations. Capstone Speech Therapy believes quality individualized services are best delivered through a fun, compassionate family-centered approach. We encourage collaboration with families, teachers, and other therapists in order to provide the most supportive, effective therapy experience.
Our speech-language pathologists are licensed by the state of Georgia and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

About the Owner:
Darla Darty, M.S., CCC-SLP, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders and her Master of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of Alabama. Upon graduating with her Master’s Degree in 1998, Darla moved to New Mexico, where she served children on the Navajo Reservation. Her travels later carried her to Los Angeles, where she worked in schools, a nonprofit clinic, and eventually her own pediatric private practice. She returned to the South and eventually made Atlanta her home. Darla has treated a wide array of disabilities and diagnoses to include autism spectrum disorder, articulation/phonological disorders, apraxia of speech, stuttering, feeding disorders, language disorders, Down Syndrome, and developmental delays. She is trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding Disorders and PROMPT. Darla's experience with a variety of disabilities, cultures, geographic locations, and clinical settings has provided a broad base of expertise, while instilling the importance of building compassionate, respectful relationships with clients and families.
